high pass filters ??
ok, you guys have been great so far in helping make these drivers work great for me
i have a question, i have an audigy es, latest kx driver, and a 2.1 setup, how can i filter the lows from getting to my desktop speakers so they wont distort at high volume while still keeping the lows pumping to the sub ? |

unfortunately that is impossible, as the soundcard sends a full range stereo signal to the speakers, and the speakers define the cut-off frequency for the subwoofer… cutting off the bass for the satellites will kill the bass for the sub

hrm, so the bass redirection, i have mine set to 100Hz, stops anything higher than 100Hz from going to the sub, correct?
so why would it be harder to simply reverse this and make it so you can determine the lowest frequency to be sent through the front output? btw, my sub is in no way connected to my desktop speakers, it runs independent as a standalone powered sub running off the sub output jack |

Have you tried increasing the bass level on the sub itself while lowering it overall with the timbre or EQ?
