pplease held kx driver newbie !! no rear output

hi there,

I'm struggling a bit using this driver for the first time, I really want to get it working as I want to use multiple sound cards and this driver seems to do it well

I curently have 2 sound blaster live! 5.1 sound cards in one system, have installed the driver and everythings good, no conflicts etc, windows is happy.

Problem: I can only get output from the front l/r of both cards, I've tried it in 3 machines with the same result.

I've been fiddling around like crazy with the 'surrouder settings' and the test speaker bit but no joy.

If i alternate between revers and normal front/rear output in the 'test speaker' section the output switches accordingly but i still only get sound fron the front l/r of the card

ideally i would like to get 3 stereo outputs from each card using the centre/ sub as a third pair if possible.

if i can only get one stereo output i'll need to buy 6 cards!!!!

many thanks in advance for any help with this : )

Dan.

Hi!

If 48k/16bit is enough for your desires you could buy an Audigy1, this model fully supports 3 analog stereo outs, 4 digital stereo outs, 2 different analog stereo ins and 5 digital stereo ins over ASIO at the same time. All in all this card sounds very good and has the best expandation capabilities. Maybe you can get a low-priced used one.

Greetings!
