can I use my audigy as a dolby digital decoder?

Will this work?

My idea is to run the optical out from my xbox to the optical in on my audigy livedrive, then send the 6 separate channels out the soundcard analog outputs to a speaker system.

Can I do this? If so, how?

yes - kX has ac-3 decoding, but it is kind of buggy in its current implementation

edit: ok... sometimes it seems to cut in and out in a quick, regular pattern...

is that what you meant by buggy?

if so, how do I get it to use the other ac3filter I installed?

I still have a couple of problems...

I installed the ac3filter...

but the sound skips and cuts out sometimes...

also, it is delayed a bit.

how can I fix this?
