Link two Live!s
Hello,
I have a Live 5.1 and a regular Live (SB0060 5.1 [a800] and CT4760 10k1 [b400] in kX). How do I link these together? (I want to record from both of them). I've seen several posts that I need to somehow connect them with a SPDIF cable, but I can't seem to understand exactly what it is I need to do. Can anyone give me the "super-newbee" guide how to do this? ![]() -- Magnus Blikstad |

Click this link and download the text files, ignore the Win 98SE info if you are using another OS.

I'm afraid I have... several times over the last couple of days.
Still haven't managed to find anything that would help me get this to work though, some earlier posts link to various sites that no longer exist. -- Magnus Blikstad |

Thanks again.
The SPDIF-stream shows up in the settings atleast. Just have to mess with the DSP now. ![]() -- Magnus Blikstad |

If the SPDIF is registering as a valid stream with audio, the hard part is over. Congratulations.

Everything works perfectly now, except that sometimes I want to output the (ASIO) sound to my headphones.
The problem is that the headphones are connected to the "slave" card. Is there any way to fix this? Routing the sound back with another SPDIF cable sounds messy, maybe you can somehow get another output on the main card for the headphones? (I'm using both the front and back analog connectors for my 4.1 speakers).

Doh, don't you just hate it when you post a message and then two minutes later just "get it"? Of course I can just connect the headphones to the "center" output as it's not used for anything else. hehe. Oh well, live and learn.
