You just have to select Wave HQ to get 24bit Sound - but AFAIK this stream does bypass your DSP settings/plugins.

the stream DOES bypass the effects, unless you load the p16v module in the DSP and use its connections, you do however still get the dry sounc playing back unless you turn of the p16v to I2S in the p16v router

As I understand it, you can route a stream of audio data to WAVE HQ, which gives you an output of 24/96. You can also use the p16v object in the DSP applet to access a parallel version of the stream going to the WAVE HQ output and then run it through the effects. This is can then be mixed with the WAVE HQ output, but this processed stream will be only 16/48.
The mix levels can be considered the same as a wet/dry mix as follows: DRY: Wave HQ output at 24/96 WET: DSP output at 16/48 Last edited by ursamtl; Dec 22, 2004 at 05:36 PM. |

Thank you for your explanation ursamtl !!
but in this case do i have to repeat this config for each ouput separatly or first make the "mix" and after the effects on the differents ouputs? |

What do I do to listen to music in 24/96 mode?
At the moment I just have the 0/1 of the src going to the front speakers of the k2lt. Is that right? |

Check the "Audigy2/P16V Routings" entry in the kx help file ( or http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/help/p16v.htm) for information on setting this up.
Regards and happy holidays! Steve. |

Hi hobby1,
Who told you the Creative drivers would not record/playback at 24/96? The fact of the matter is that they have this ability but only if certain conditions are right in your settings. Read this: http://www.3dss-forums.com/cgi-bin/w...2&fpart=1&vc=1 I have an Audigy 2 ZS pci (no hub or livedrive) and get 24/96 with both ASIO and WDM Creative drivers. I use kX on my SBlive so when I record live band projects I have 6 seperate inputs at 48kHZ. All is working great! I don't think ASIO works at 24/96 on your soundcard but it does with the Audigy 2 ZS (should have Creative July driver update installed which requires SP1 in Windows XP). Not sure about your card This can be proved with any Spectral View tool such as Cooledit pro's, Adobe Audition's, etc. Merry Christmas buvoltz Last edited by buvoltz; Dec 24, 2004 at 02:32 PM.
