Transferring Vinyl at 24/96

Hi,

Im planning on transferring some of my "yet to be released on CD" vinyl albums to my PC. Iv'e been using the Kx drivers for a while now basically for the improved sound quality they offer over the creative drivers but have never really delved into the more technical stuff basically because iv'e been scared off by the DSP , but i can tell its really pretty simple. Is it possible to record directly at 24/96 via the analogue line in ports with no conversions from there on in?

I have an Audigy 2 ZS platinum, can it be done with the Kx drivers?

No need to be scared of DSP, 24/96 COMPLETELY bypasses DSP! You can record 24/96 by selecting Wave HQ device inside your audio application... Best result can be achieved by selecting Aux2 as your P16V recording source inside kX mixer (i think IS2 2 is right option for Aux2, if not try IS2 0 & IS2 1)

Sorry for asking, but what records you are trying to transfer?

Im planning to transfer the Primitons Lp's, they were a jangly 80's US underground band who released two flawless albums but were never released on CD despite being released in the later half of the 80's. Plus some early Happy Monday's singles and some vinyl boots.
