AFAIK it is not possible. That's why I bought A2 Value a month ago...

dj_stick is right I guess you have to connect one of the SPDIF_EXT pins to an external DAC. The pinout can be found on a few sites, one of them is this one: http://www.zapwizard.com/MediaPC/SBL...DIF/Index.html

The procedure should be more or less identical to that one that extends your card with inputs from other cards (you only have to switch inputs and outputs as far as I understand). If you need help on that try using google or search this forum (I think that also one of the sticky topics talks about this).

Hope I did at least this posting right (when the first one was wrong)

Looks like a lot of work to me, Personally, I would spend $10-$15 U.S. on Ebay to get a 5.1 card and an extra SPDIF cable and end up with 4 Mono inputs but maybe you would enjoy this little project.

here are some text files explaining how to set up 2 sound cards with Win 98SE.

http://www.usfamily.net/web/4stories...X-NTRACK-2SCS/

Just ignore the parts that don't apply to you. If you are using your onboard sound card as the second card, it will be the SEND card and your SBLive will be the HOST card. Just use the Windows mixer for your SEND card and kX mixer for the SBLive.
