Talkback through Mic-In
hi, everybody!
I'm using SBLive 5.1's line-in to record from preamp. The AC-97's outputs are directly routed to ASIO. Mic and vocalist are situated in neighbour room, so I need some kind of talkback. How can I use noisy mic-in to tell something to vocalist without recording this trought AC-97. I don't want to use some external mixer to mix talkback sound to headphones mix, I'd like to make this inside PC. |

you'll need a second soundcard for that

Ok! I think I'll better solder a simple outboard mixer
It will be cheaper. ![]() And another one question. I've noticed that sound through headphones out (same as center\sub on SBLive 5.1) is not as good as from front\rear. What DAC does this output use? |

on the SB live! 5.1, the same DAC operates the front and sub/center outputs
