AES/EBU to SPDIF coaxial
Hi everyone. Do you know how to connect an AES/EBU output from a hardware device to the SPDIF coaxial of the Audigy2? Can I do it without any adapters?
Thank you Nando |

hi Nando, keep the cable short and the AES should be enough to feed the spdif input. Good luck!

I think AES/EBU can't connect to BNC directly.
AES/EBU - impedance is 110Ω & 5V Voltage BNC - impedance 75Ω & 0.5V Voltage So you must get a device to transform AES to BNC ,then connect BNC to BNC |

I use a Behringer Ultravoice 2496 digital AES output conected directly to a SPDIF input (in my EMU1212m) and have no problems with it. I just used the hot and cold wire to do it. The differences in impedance and voltage didn't matter at all. It's been working plugged like that for almost 6 month now...
