Can somebody answer ( with some arguments
) to the following question ?So here is the situation : - a computer wit Win XP SP1 OS and Audigy 2 bulk soundcard ; - an Altec Lansing 251 speaker system connected to Audigy's analog outputs; - a stand-alone DVD Player ( I think don't matter the brand ) with coaxial digital output. The Audigy 2 soundboard have (on board) with other connectors one called SPDIF in / CD digital in. I've made an adapter RCA - 2 pin molex and I've tried to connect digital-out from DVD Player to that SPDIF in of Audigy 2. Is it possible to get somehow AC 3 stream from DVD player, to take it in Audigy - > Dolby Decoder ->DAC and to take it out on analog outputs ? I put this question because that DVD player has only stereo outputs or digital-out. And I taught that somehow I can use the Audigy 2 like a receiver or something http://www.hardwareheaven.com/images/s...big%20grin.gif So, if you guys have an opinion ( positive or negative ) please write it here. Thank you for your attention |

the AC3 decoder in kX only works if you use one of the SPDIF inputs on the AD_EXT header (pinout in the Audio tech forum)
