Audigy bit-accurate playback?
Hi,
I found some information about bit-accurate playback in Audigy4, Audigy2 Value and Audigy2 ZS Notebook, see: http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showt...=106715&page=1 http://www.soundblaster.com/products...urecompare.asp Does anybody know what it is exactly? Could be possible to play 44.1kHz audio on analog outputs without excessive IM distortion? Any idea how this feature relates to kx DSP, p16v, router?

Some more information from Audigy2 Value help file:
Bit Accurate mode is only applicable to .WAV files with the following specifications: - stereo format - PCM audio data - 16-bits and above (maximum 32-bits with 24-bits resolution) - 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz Once Bit Accurate playback starts, the digital output sampling rate is automatically set to the current playback's sampling rate regardless of the current digital output sampling rate. When Bit Accurate mode is applied to the playback, adjusting the volume control or applying EAX effects will not have any effect on digital output signals.
