I have a soundblaster 5.1 sound card with the live drive at the front. I want to be able to record through my line in channel into cubase sx. I heard about how good the latency is on the kx drivers so downlaoded them. I can play my media player but cant record through my line in at all.
Got an athlon 1.7ghx chip and xp pro with cubase sx. Any help please

you should connect your speakers into the REAR output of the pci card and not in the FRONT output of the pci card. Try moving the conector from one place to the other and see if you get sound.

Hrmm... well, I had this problem... and since I've been dealing with music production and computers for years I was quite ashamed to realize that I had connected the data cable between the PCI card and front panel, but NOT the power cable. A problem that was pointed out in another thread.
So - after laughing at such stupidity I opened my computer only to see that I had forgotten to connect that very cable myself. Hope you're smarter than me..
