can you use aps 1.6 windows xp drivers for an sb live card?

can you use aps 1.6 windows xp drivers for an sb live card? Well, I can get sound out of them using the ordinary windows xp mixer app, but the e-control application (the main reason for using aps drivers) won't load. It says the soundscene dll isn't loaded.

Does it need hacking like the old win98 vxd drivers did?

sorry I dunno, but i must say, why bother when the kx drivers are so much better! i have Emu APS soundcard and couldnt load ver1.6 for xp use. so found this site and my world changed!!!! the driver is SOOO much better than emu drivers ever were.
