To phase or not to phase...
Hi!
I'm having quite some fun with these drivers... Good job and lot better then original creative drivers! Ok... I have a Audigy 2 Value (sb0400) and using 3538h with profx 2.1b... I managed to get everything working like I want. I notice that if no setting for audio, primitive, or regular 2 speakers is available in a program, sound is outputed from 0/1 in src... If it's configured for 2.1 or more, it out from 4/5 (front), 6/7 (rear), 8/9 (center/lfe) in src... I'm using a 4.1 speaker configuration so I'm using 4/5 to a 4th order crossover then to my KXLT - DIGITAL FRONT and SUB. And 6/7 to a 4th order crossover for highpass only then to KXLT - DIGITAL REAR. Now my problem: If I play material like a dvd, everything sound ok... But if I listen to a regular audio cd, the rear needs a PHASE plugin on one side to be ok... I reminds me of the old quadrophonic amp my father had built many, many years ago (was I born?)... What do I do? I don't want to change the setting each time I change the type of listening material... Thx |

listening to regular audio should be 2 channel only
your problem is most likely the playback software upmixing the music. check the settings with that program
