Problem with mic, playing back through speakers
Alright i have been using KX Drivers for a long time and I fixed this problem once in the past. But i had to format all my drives this weekend and i lost my saved setting file that i usually load up so the mic and everything works perfectly, along with many other things <sigh> Anyways I was curious what setting is doing this? I have been fiddling with all the settings for a good house just blowing into the mic and hoping it either stops comin out of my speakers but nothing yet. Yes i did read the mic guide that is stickied on the forums and i have it set up exactly as it says to, and i am sorry to post another "need help with mic" topic but I cant seem to find the solution to this as everytime someone posts the question they are directed to the guide, which is not helping me with this problem. The guide did turn on the mic to record but like i said, if i say Hello into the mic to my friends on Teamspeak or Ventrilo, it repeats back through my speakers instantly. I have a voice changing program, or used to, that had a option called "duplex" that when turned on it would play it back through my speakers right away and when it was off it wouldnt, but i cant seem to find any option like that in the KXMixer.
Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciate. So thanks in advance. |

I have tried to mute the AC97 in the in and outs - with no luck. Whats going in the microphone still gets out of the speakers. I does not even matter if you mutes the main out (!).
Whats wrong? I'm using an ordinare SB Live! 5.1 LS. I just love the KX-drivers, but without the functionality to voicechat in for example MSN Messenger, which I use a lot, I'm just not sure if to keep them or not. But I'm quite sure my problem can be fixed right? I guess it has something to do with the DSP. But ofcourse, I have not change it from the factory default.. /Fredrik, Sweden |

i´m in the same situation as fredrik.... but your hint crod doesn´t work.
even if i mute the master volume, my mike is on the speakers. the only device for recording in the multimedia-properties of win2k is the "kxWave 0/1" device. perhaps thats the problem... that there is no recording device? |
