Cubase SX dont sense my guitar

You'll have to excuse my bad english but try understand, thanks.
I recently got Cubase SX 2. So I'm really a noob on this atm. I cant get my guitar to work... the parameters dont sense my guitar... when I record and listen to what I think I've just recorded there's no sound, nothing. When I play my guitar it comes sound out of the speakers but there's nothin on Cubase, the parameters wont react... Please help

Set ASIO driver to kX-ASIO, set it to 48kHz, set template to 48kHz and save it as default, check multimedia properties for full acceleration and best sample quality. Read in the DSP Forum the setup guide related to cubase. Read Help files shipped with the driver.
