Isn't that usually a filter for images, and not so much for sound?

You might get the effect you want with a high shelving boost...

Theres the Noise Sharpening plugin for Foobar and Noise Sharpening SPS preset for Winamp.

Just wanted to know if kx has and Noise Sharpening DSP.

It makes the music sound more crisp and clear, background music sounds more audible.

just got the foobar plugin; it really makes a difference (much more difference than ssrc this would be a very good plugin if someone could make it... I believe this could be done within the dsp too

basically for me it sounds like it recreates the loss of mp3's even 128kbps mp3s sound like 320kbps mp3s with this plugin in foobar

Hmm....

Does anyone here have details on how, exactly, the algorithm works? Maybe someone here who knows more about DSP than me can tell us if it can be implemented.
