volume control - again

Hello again, I am sorry, but I didn't solve my problem

I was reading maybe everything and the volume control isn't still logarithmic.
Maybe description of my problem:
I am using volume control buttons on my mouse and it change the volume in 30 steps and I need to achieve to 50% of volume at maybe 20-25th step. When I was using Creative drivers the volume control was OK, but with KX drivers the volume rise very rapidly at first five steps, and next 25 steps the volume rise slow. How do I have to adjust the drivers???
And next thing: is it possible, to change the ikon in tray, from the letters "kx", to another picture (maybe speaker,...)? Where I can change it or how?...
