missing synths
Hello to all from Ocean City MD.
Need some advice before I see the doctor. equip. Audigy1 Ex, ISIS (S/C with Logic 3.6) Athlon1.5, 512M, W98se, ATI9700pro, DirectX8.1 Installed Kx (latest). Things seem OK, but when I go to DirectX Diags, and test 'Music', I can only get the MS software synth. I have another S/C insalled also (ISIS) and it's hardware synth (ISISsynth.ext) works. But none of the Aud synths do. But when I re-insall Audigy drivers, DX will test them successfully. Does this sound like I blew the Kx install? I've done it 4 or 5 times now. By the way, what I found really neat, is that with CoolEditPro (session mode) you can send any track to any speaker - too me that's true 5.1 recording without the Dolby. Man is that cool. Thanks for any advice |

Load a soundfont into kX, use kX-tray -> Soundfont... A Soundfont is a *sf2 file, that can be found on the original driver CD. Check MIDI & Soundfont forum fo more information.
