Back to the topic, I really wanna find some guys to discuss about X-Fi with me.
If Eugene wants to compile kX drivers for EMU20KX, the codec has to be re-developed. Else, the power of CAO107PAG cannot be explored. You said right that it's difficult to find volunteers to develop drivers.

One thing I am so sure is There some guys find something but they can't unveil...

不过话说回来，这个东西跟Audigy4的一样，但是听说多了别的几个应用程序，用来获得更多的MIDI功能，而且这些应用程序在Audigy4 PCMCIA上也有。具体怎么样我就不知道了。

I heard of that there are several extra MIDI applications added on the release and Audigy4 PCMCIA.

Tom's hardware has a sample board and evaluates it.

I guess kX will not support X-Fi:

1. no documentation
2. very complex architecture which would require a lot of months for software development
