About Levels
This is a question about the output level of the driver in a CT4832 10k1 1020 card.
I'm using a "peak" to measure the level of either the FXBus 0/1 or the routing RO_front/rear_L/R output. Although the signals I use goes to 0db (waves and mp3s, checking the levels in Soundforge, Cubase, Samplitude ...) the peak goes till -6db only. The Master and Wave slider are full up at the master page. I can not find an attenuation somewhere else. Do I missing something ? |

you are in win98/ME, right?
This is known issue with these operating systems... Bug is caused by not functional PCM volume (the default volume is -6dB)... The only kx port that works properly is "kX Wave 8/9", so it could be dirty solution for this: (via kX Router) configure "kX Wave 8/9" to be sent to fxbus 0/1 (instead of 8/9) and set "kX Wave 8/9" as default device for windows and all of your audio applications...

Not with the 3531, 3530, 3529 ... I don't remember in what version this workaround ended but now I can't find a way to have full output (0db) :o( |

Well, workaround still should work... Check Wave/PCM level in windows mixer (sndvol32)... it should be at max in order to get wave8/9 at full level....
