Vmodem, jams KX

Not really a bug but....OK I have a data,voice,Fax modem..I use the answering machine feature on the modem. WHen I Play the messages back I can hear them fine through my Live! Anything after that I have no sound..no errors, just no sound. If I try speaker test a window pops up saying failed to create sound. I quit mixer..reload NO..reset global settings..etc..etc..NO. ONly thing that works is a restart. Seems like the application is using the card but not freeing it back up..anyway..any ideas guys? Like for whatever reason this modem/application and KX do not get along, I say that because I have had constant problems using the application with KX, other issues I founf work arounds, this one I am stuck..Just kills my sound..

Make sure that the wave file used for playing the message is not corrupted (if possible try playing the file using another application and see if the same thing happens). That is the only thing I can think of at the moment.
