Im not sure if this is related but i think i had a similar problem in cubase. I have a usb midi input device and also use midiox/yoke. this means i have more that one midi input device to choose from in cubase, but one of the choices is "all midi inputs". when this is selected it records two midi events when i press a key. I just have to make sure to choose a specific input and not "all midi inputs" .
I have no idea if Logic works the same. Good Luck Toad |

logic, i think, opens all midi ports
you may have to specify, or modify the midi environment

Logic settings in win.ini
All Logics ins and outs are listed in the win.ini file. Try setting MidiIn_kX_Control_SB0280_10k2__d800=0
That turns off the input. (might try the output too) You can also fix it in the environment. All inputs are summed and fed to the sequencer. You need to disable that one. Hope this helps Last edited by philfuller; Aug 17, 2005 at 01:45 AM. Reason: more info |

I had same problem. Try as Philfuller said. If your using Logic. Go into Environment>Click and ports. Disconnect the cable coming out or the "Physical Input" "sum" (top connection arrow) and reconnect it from the 'Bottom' arrow on the Physical Input. Which should be the Kx Uart2.
The settings should be much the same in most sequences |

Thanks for so many fast replies...this forum really rocks!
The thing that did it was to set the "MidiIn_kX_Control_SB0280_10k2__d800=0" in the win.ini file. If i only modified the "Environment>Click and ports" to use the "Kx Uart2" port, then when i played midi it would all be fine and no double notes, but step record still got the doubles ![]() If you change win.ini, the "Environment>Click and ports" should have the "SUM" port setting, otherwise the midi dont work at all... thanks again... |
