Any chance that the Card would be supported in the near future.
I love 1820 but the one downside is the lessof 7.1 support. If you could point in a direction in a program that could help me getting surround sound with it i would be great full. Or If you did incorperate it into the Kx Driver i would be fairly loose with a donation, as it would cost me around the same for a new sound card, which i dont wanna do. any help on getting 5.1 or 7.1 through the card would be appreacatied Cheers

I was thinking - if a player supports ASIO output (winamp has a plugin IIRC) - may allow this.
edit: it doesnt seem winamp will play DVD's - I assume this is what you want 5.1/7.1 for. |

I thought the EMU 1820 did support 7.1 playback. What does this feature mean?: I/O Configuration: -Two TFPro Mic/Line/Hi-Z preamps (w/48V phantom power) -Six 1/4" Balanced Inputs -Eight 1/4" Balanced Outputs -Turntable input (w/ground lug and hardware RIAA preamp) -24-bit/192kHz ADAT In/Out (switchable to S/PDIF) -24-bit/96kHz coaxial S/PDIF In/Out (switchable to AES/EBU) -24-bit/96kHz optical S/PDIF Out (switchable to AES/EBU) -Two sets of MIDI In/Out -Four stereo 1/8" Speaker Outputs (configurable from stereo to 7.1) Note -Stereo Headphone Output -FirewireŽ Interface If that feature by the word Note doesnt mean the card supports 7.1 audio playback, Creative sucks again for giving that impression in the description for the card!
