Headset Microphone combo problem

Hi all,

First time poster long time reader here

I installed the Kx drivers recently because my SB live drivers were messing up. Well the sound quality and amazing as well as the recording. The problem I'm having is when I use Team Speak and I key up my mic to talk then someone else does too they can hear themselves through my keying up the mic.

Now I have a headphones microphone combo so they shouldn't hear a thing. Now with my SB drivers all I had to do was mute the mic but that's not an option available with these new drivers.

Now I went into the AC97 area and tried muting my mic but then no one can hear me. So I'm not sure what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really don't want to go back to my SB Live drivers.

Umm I don't see your signature?

Be more specific ok I'll try .

I have a SB Live 5.1 sound card and when I'm on Team Speak and if I'm keying up my microphone and start talking, and then if someone else keys up there microphone at the same time they can hear themselves through me on there speakers.

It's like my mic is picking up my speakers but I have head phones on so it shouldn't do that.

I know with SB Live drivers all have you to do is mute your microphone in the windows mixer recording area. That option isn't available because of the KX drivers. THe mute area is grayed out.

So I go to the Kx Mixer and mute my microphone there with the AC97 area and then it really MUTES it and no one can hear me.

What do I need to do?

Did that clear it up for you?
