rolleyes The center and subwoofer channel doesn't work... (silent).
Sorry for my poor English (I'm from Poland)... I have a problem with my kX driver. I have SB Live 5.1 ver. 0100 and Win XP Pro.
The center and subwoofer channel doesn't work... (silent). The front and rear speakers are OK. I link 'analog front out' from kX routing to 'analog center in' in epilog directly, and center speaker doesn't play. Why? Please help me... What can I do? Thanx for help!

Sorry, where is "help-about" hardware information in my Windows XP (i don't understand this phrase... my English is poor). Could You write this in SIMPLY phrase?

My hardware configuration:

- ECS K7S5A
- Duron 1GHz
- 256 MB DDR
- Winfast Quadro 2 MXR 32MB
- SB Live! 5.1 v.0100

this seems to be EMicro TOS28028 or similar chip

ok, I will add support for for 454d:4328, which has the surround DAC turned OFF due to unknown reason [that's why it has 2a = 1000].

OTHER USERS:
if this solved the issue with other codecs, please, post codec ID HERE

also, if you have different board (sb0101,sb0100 etc) and have experienced any problems with center/sub, please, try kxctrl -sac97 2a 0

My SB is 0100 (read from PCB), but kX hardware info show 0102...hmm... doesn't matter...

I have one question about kX. Where I can download more plugins for kX DSP? Link in kX menu is bad.

the default wave file is not actually perfect for testing subwoofers
if your center works, subwoofer should function, too [when playing back DVD or other 5.1 content]

a question to mdcs:

does 3529 enable center/sub by default or you still require to enable it manually via kxctrl?

3530 will fix the issue with kxctrl

however, if center is ok, subwoofer should be ok, too
test it with any low-freq. audio file

I too have to activate the "'headphones to center/sub out" if i want to get sound from the center/sub..

This is not the same thing as one disscussed here at all.

Why do you think it is a problem?
You don't hear anything from center/sub when playing mp3/wave, right?
So this is how it should be. Waves/mp3s have only left and right channels, there's not sub/center there...
So you hear exactly what you play...
Your center/sub work - you just play sounds which do not have any center/sub inside.
(by enabling "headphones to center/sub out" you just copy left to center and right to sub).
kX have no default options to extract fake center/sub from plain stereo (like bass redirection or cmss).
Also it can be done with special kx dsp tweaking but it is not too user friendly (but will be more friendly in future driver versions).

no center/subwoofer faders in I/O kx mixer
Hello! First I'd like to thank you for the great work. I'm using the kx drivers since my 1st SBLive! Value. Moved to Audigy now and they work just great as well. My problem is that I just bought this SBLive! 5.1 Digital for my gf. She's using XP SP1. The card is reported by kx as Generic. No detection of center/subwoofer. Should kxctrl cmd line solve the problem? Thanks!

it seems like your card is one of the new 2xx models (could you post info from kxtray->about).
