kX Installed but no sound

Firts one I want to tell that my problem starts a year ago when I tried to install Windows Xp all worked perfectly but no my soundblaster live value CT4830. I have a VIA KT133 chipset GA-7ZX series with AC97 onboard sound and the soundblaster original drives not work because "setup could not detect any sounblaster.... " (I disabled Ac97 in Bios etc... )

I has been all this time with my Ac97 on Xp untl yesterdat when I discover kX project, very happy I downloaded the drivers and libaries and installed it (disabling the onboard sound) all seems to work fine but... there is no sound I had tried the other veriosn the alpha and betta too... but same problem no sound

The most curious part is that in the harware configuration utility tells that I have a CT4832 but in my soudndcard is clearly visible CT4830.

Please I will thank you any comments or solutions, and congratulations for this drivers god job ( although it doesn't work for me I think they must better than soundblaster original that don't let install)

RIV@NVX will become famous soon enough
System Specs

CT4830 OEM cards are detected as CT4832
(as SB0090 Audigys are detected as SB0092 (or CT0092), because Creative doesn't label them correctly)

Firts one thanks for the quick response and the information about the CT4830-CT4832 issue. ( This Creative guys don't know to label correctly )

Second one the change in the speakers doesn't work, nor change in the multimedia presets to cuadrafonica, 5.1 or steroe. The Windows Xp hardware sound tester tells that "your hardware could not play sound" but same card works perfectly in Windows Me.

Thanks in advance for your help.... maybe one day I can hear my soundblaster in Windows Xp

I have logged onto this forum for exactly the same reason. I have a SB CT4832 (labelled ct4830), and worx fine in 98se and ME, but dead in XP. I have tried all creative drivers and now the KX project drivers including the generic, 4830, and 4832 drivers individually with no success.

I use this card in an A7V133 (kt133a) but also I have the same results in an 8kha+ (kt266a). I am really unhappy.

The only clue seems to be the output is muted or stuck on digital out. Not having a digital input device I cannot confirm this.

Can anyone help us please (I am currently suffering using a c-media solution)

In the Sound tab in DXDIAG, do you have the acceleration slider to Full Acceleration? I know that my kX didn't work when it was at Basic, one notch to the left of full.

slider is already at full. Other things I have tried include

- removing and reinstalling media player
- trying to run the creative driver with the /w switch unsuccessfully

Quite simply nothing worx.

Could someone please find out why ct4832 will not work in XP???
