KX driver problem under Audigy 2
Now I want to use KX driver for my audigy 2 sound card:
My Sound card: Audigy 2 (Model: SB0240) KX Version: 5.10.0.3537 But I have one question about the configuration: In the "master level control" of "Kx Mixer", there are two button: (1) Swap Front and Rear The Swap Front and Rear Output toggle button is used to improve analog sound quality by taking advantage of the superior DAC used for the rear speaker (note that speakers are swapped by default). Not available to APS cards because they don't have AC97 Codec. (2) Route Headphones to Center/SubWoofer The Route Headphones to Center/SubWoofer toggle button can be used to divert headphone output to the center/subwoofer channel. And for my sound card --- Audigy 2 (6.1 channel), it have three output: (1) Line Out 1 for Front Left/Right (2) Line Out 2 for Rear Left/Right (3) Line Out 3 for Front Center, subwoofer and Rear Center I have tried the following three methods: (1) Toggle off both "Swap Front and Rear" and "Route Headphones to Center/SubWoofer": Speaker connect to: Line Out 1 Result: No sound (2) Toggle on "Swap Front and Rear", Toggle Off "Route Headphones to Center/SubWoofer": Speaker connect to: Line Out 2 Result: No sound (3) Toggle off "Swap Front and Rear", Toggle on "Route Headphones to Center/SubWoofer": Speaker connect to: Line Out 2 Result: Have sound Can you tell me why I can not use (2) recommended by you? Thanks a lot. |
