Hi all,
I am running the KX Project Driver through a Soundblaster Live, P3, 384MB with Reason 2, VST 5 R6 and various plugins. Because of the slight lack of power in my system I am wondering if anyone can advise me on how I can record the output of a softsynth midi track (i.e Pro52) into the input of a Cubase audio track. I would also like to record the output of Re-wired Reason instruments aswell. I think this can all be done in the KX Project mixer by setting it to "record what you hear", but am not sure how or where to find this. Any help from skilled hands would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve |

in general you should get all the sources except ASIO automatically recorded. in order to record ASIO channels, you need to add some 'SUMM' effects to the kX DSP, and place them in this way:
RecL (from 'routing')-- asio2 source -----# # asio0 source --- summ ---------epilog's RecL ^--------------------------------epilog's asio0 and so on [hope this pseudo-picture helps ]/Eugene |

Do this in cubase instead. Go to File-Export-Audio tracks. Choose between locators, be sure to set the left and right locator at the start/end. All tracks unmuted will be mixed down to an audiotrack. This is not true for softsynths, but pro52 is a vsti if I'm not wrong and then it will work, the same with reason.
Also, if your system is having troubles when you have too many tracks, try to increase the latency. |
