No Sound with 3538i and XP SP2

Hi All,
Is there any logging and/or logfile I can enable with KxMixer and kx driver 3538i that could tell me what is going wrong as the kx driver and software loads on my computer. I am getting no sound at all on my Windows XP SP2 computer (PIII 600 Mhz). I have an Audigy 2 Platinum listed as sb240 in my Audio applet in Control Panel. I have used kx Project drivers in the past and I was always able to get sound (good sound too!) without having to change anything beyond making sure that I have 5.1 speaker setup set and sampling and audio card acceleration set to best. But with 3538i I get no sound at all. I have set the things that I mentioned in the next to last sentence.

Thanks in advance,
clarkbt36

Not for KX specific - just in KX 'ABOUT' is all I know about.

But for XP in general....

According to this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;833721

Theres a switch in the 'boot.ini' - that allows turing on 'BOOTLOG'

Are you getting any error messages or just not hearing the sound-do audio programs appear to play?

Did you read the 3538i bug reports thread?
There are other people that are also having the same, or a similair problem with 3538i and the SB0240, so it may just be a 3538i bug.

Thanks a lot Russ, I'm going to revert to 3538h or earlier, at least until this (possible) bug is traced down.

Hi DougW. I am not getting any error messages, either when KxMixer loads or from my Windows Event Viewer. I am not hearing any sound at all, not even static.

Well I have kept with 3537 on my PIII. It does everything I need, especially with LeMury's ProFX, so I'm not inclined to rock the boat at this point.
