IR support and cubase sx

Is there any way of using the IR remote control supplied with SBlive as a controller for the transport commands in Cubase SX?

The KX remote is 'hardwired' to certain keys - for now, it appears customizing those was planned, but is yet to be implemented .. see the KX help section for the 'KX Remote' section for key definitins.

Currently, keymaps assigned - allow doing all the common windows maniplations, as well as some simpler controls in common media players. But its not yet customizable.

I sterted looking with in the driver if there was an ini file or something to change these but I havent found it.

Anyone know how this can be done without re-compiling the driver?

Eugene had plans to release a partially opensource version of kX allowing people to program third-party remote apps, but this hasn't eventuated just yet.

Hmm, pity. Well I'll just hope it eventuates soon, it would be very handy.
