Setting

Hi,

I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, with the breakout box.
The SPDIF out on that goes to the SPDIF in on a Yamaha surround amp.
My windows speaker setup is 5.1, and I have 3538i installed.

I'm trying to figure out how to set up the DSP to make surround work. I'm using a ProFX 'src' plugin (FXBus 6/7, I use this for Winamp output), which goes to the ProLogica plugin (to convert stereo to fake 5.1), which is connected to a surrounder+, set up for 5.1 output, with surround enabled.

I'm confused what to output it to - the epilog (well I use the Kl2t from ProFX for output actually) has three digital outputs, front, center and rear, and only the 'front' outputs audio through the SPDIF. Where are the rear and center outputs?
I assume they're different physical ports, because if I output audio to them, nothing plays (but they play when hooked to SPDIF front)

Can anybody help?

SPDIF is stereo. The exception is when you use passthru to pass audio encoded to AC3 using SPDIF.

Please be more specific on what is the Yamaha surround amp. What's the model and how many speakers are connected to it?

To hear sound from more than 2 channels, you either need to use analog connections or you need to encode to AC3 before using SPDIF.
