KX problems
First of all I really apreciate KX developers work and others users who come with new solutions for creative audio cards.
This is first time use of KX drivers and am n00b. I have two major problems. 1. I get an error every time when i try to select headphones : "Headphones preset are not curently supported" 2. I cannot find a solution to hear something using a pinnacle 110i pctv. ( In the past, with CRT drivers i had use TAD IN option" Also when I try searching using tags on this forum i don't get any solution. sorry if the posts about this problems allready exist and sorry for my english. Dont select the Hph in surrounder...
With default DSP - plugging in headphone will be detected - if the option in KX is set ... this detection can also mute speaker outputs. It does work, but I have caused it to go 'out of sync' at times. Many capture devices software need access to a windows compatable mixer interface - KX is not fully compatable in this. You can try other tv/capture software that *may* work (Like Media Portal). I would NOT use TAD in - as its mono - ?? Use AUX or CD - but.... Anyway - to make sure the card *cant* work - a few things can be tried. In KX Mixer on AC97 page - Drop down of AC97 source should be what ever connector the TV card is connected to - If - its plugged into the TAD - set this drop down to TAD. Then - set the INPUT level of the same (TAD in your case) on this same page - and make sure its UN-MUTED On 'INs & OUTs' page of KX - make sure the AC97 level is up and also NOT MUTED. On 'RECORD' screen of KX - make sure AC97 level is the ONLY input selected to record (all other levels 0 or muted) - this sets recording level. If it still records silence - then the SW wont work with KX. |
