maximum outputs with ct4870

Just a quick question. Wants the max outputs with the above card?

Yeah. I currently have it running 2 stereo outputs. One from each of the line outs.

This card doesnt have the Spdif output on the back.

System Specs

the card does support SPDIF, but you need to use the AUD_EXT header on the card. The AUD_EXT header has 3 SPDIF outputs, but if your card has the SPDIF_IO, i think from memory, it only has one SPDIF out

Yes it has the Aud_Ext. Is there a link or a thread to show me how to use this for outputs?

Cool, so to get an extra output from the AUD_EXT header I would have to suss out how to wire up another set of RCA's out? In other words, there should only be 4 wires I have to worry about? right, left and two grounds?

Or am I over simplifying this!?!?!?

System Specs

SPDIF is digital, so you would need a converter if you want analog sound (ie for speakers)

so for each stereo spdif channel there is one signal wire and one ground wire
