How to set up sblive for 5.1 surround system?

I've tried to install kx drivers to my friends computer. He has sblive and 5.1 speakers - they worked great until i uninstalled creative drivers and replaced them with kx. Now only 2 front speakers work.

Today I tried to find out how to connect other speakers in DSP, but it's too complicated for me. This is how I *think* it should be done (i havent tried it yet). Do you think it's a good idea to set it up like this? Or is there a better way?

System Specs

Rightclick in the DSP and click "Reinitialize DSP". Then rightclick the DSP and click "Re-align plugins".

Now double-click Surrounder or Surrounder+ (one of the two will be in the DSP). On the bottom, you have a menu to select presets. Try "5.1 - Direct Path". You may have to check/uncheck "use subwoofer output" and "Bass Redirection" depending on the sound system.

That should do it.

If you want to listen to stereo sound on the five speakers, select Surround Mode "Copy". It will copy the front channels to the rear.

I *think* you need to use K1LT (10K1 DSP / Live) and NOT K2LT (for 10K2 DSP/Audigy).
Output registers are different and need a different plugin for outputs.

The JPG doesnt show you using surrounder... is this required for Live 5.1 people?
Or is K1LT for something else and not for 10K1 dsp's?

You can use the Surrounder and it's loaded by default. It's easier to set-up using the Surrounder than to manually modify the DSP. Especially for a kX beginner.
