EMU model EM8850

anyone know anything about this card? I found one in a salvage store. I cant seem to find anything specific on the web about it. It has 9pin analog and 15pin digital conectors on it, but i didnt get the break out cable with it. i paid $2.00 for it.

it's not really a break out box, more breakout cable group

but if you can find the pin-out you could always make your own

You could goto you local musicians supply store and maybe investigate the cable there (bring a DVM/Multi-meter - set to resistance/OHMS/Conductivity to read what pins goto what jacks.)

I googled and - nadda. The PDF manual from EMU didnt show pin outs either.

If I have a chance after the holidays (after Jan 1st) - Ill see if I can, if you cant (no meter?) or dont know what Im talking about.

oh btw if you contact the e-mu store, pad the story a little, if you tell them you bought the card for $2 they'll try to make as much from you as possible, but if you tell them the cable was damaged or something they should be right.

Oh and if they ask for a receipt just say it was part of a computer bundle you bought second hand adn they *should* accept that
