Prolog direct connection to epilog - is it resampled as well?

I would just like to know if any signal directly connected from prolog to epilog is resampled to 48Khz as well.

(suppose for example line in/mic in 2 (prolog) -> Headphone L/R (epilog) )

thanks in advance

anything going through the DSP is resampled, so yes it is, but all the chips on the card/drive bay use the same timing circuit, so it's not like you're connecting an spdif input with a different clock signal, so the quality loss due to that is minimal

Actually what I wanted was to connect my guitar to mic/line in 2, route it to spdif out (all on the drive bay) and connect spdif out to my 1212m spdif in, and route it to a 1212m ASIO channel for processing.

I wanted the sample rate to be the one I set in spdif.

Do you think I'm making a big mess?

the 1212 should slave to the spdif signal of the kX card

I have one advice. Don't connect prolog directly to epilog because it can cause weird problems. Put a plugin between them. You can put a "Vol" or "St Vol" plugin at 100%.

I think that is only an issue with FxBus (and RecL/RecR of epilog). Using prolog this way should be ok (I do it all the time).

Actually I do it all the time as well with prolog->rec(epilog) and never had any problems.

You are right. I mixed FXBus and epilog.
