Hi All,
I have my first DVD-Audio disc, and can't seem to get the DVD-Audio part of it working. I have kX 3537 and they are working fine for normal audio and surround audio from DVDs. I am testing it with WinDVD 7, and have managed to get WinDVD to pop up the PCM 96/24 logo while the track is playing, so I believe that WinDVD is passing on the right data. When in this mode I notice that the counter goes up a second every two seconds in real life, perhaps indicating that the data is only being received at 48k, although I am guessing here. I have read the documentation on the kX site, and understand I need to be using the HQ drivers, which I am. I haven't found any posts on here that talk about troubleshooting in my situation - if I missed one, please point me to it. What am I doing wrong? I have uninstalled, installed and reset the drivers over and over again, restarted the computer many times, and cannot get audio to come out of the card! I am using the "The best of REM" disc (in case there's a known issue or something). Also, my tests in Cool Edit using 96k sample rate indicate it's being downsampled to 48k as well. So I don't believe any software on my machine is outputting genuine 24/96 data. I would appreciate any and all suggestions.. Kye. |
