Sequencer software tips anymone?
Hello all.
I was wondering if anyone knows any opensource/freeware software that could replace Cubase? Probably lot's of feats would be lost but the essential stuff would be only multi-track recording, vst+dx support, asio support and midi-tracks (plus automation...) Thanks, Oswald

All I know for free is Kristal, but I dont think there is any MIDI track support.
http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/ Also, you can look at the stuff listed here: http://www.gamedev.net/community/for...opic_id=277596 |

Thanks guys for your replies. This Reaper program seems promising, all though in an early stage so far. The biggest downside with these programs is that Cubase is much prettier
Kristal looks the most finished product. It's a shame if it doesn't do midi. And no DX effects, if I understand correctly.Cheers
