Pro MIDI Sample Music Production

I plan on pro sample music production (soundtracks made exclusively on sample libraries). At present, I do own an Audigy2 Platinum eX card, and to this time, it worked well for me. I know, it is not professional audio card - however, in this particular area of use I am not sure, if Audigy2 may really decrease the final audio in any way? If so, what would you recommend as the most suitable solution / soundcard? The only I need, is zero latency, when playing live on a masterkeyboard. Thanx a lot for any tips and tricks.
