KX & ATI AIW
Hi,
I have the problem with my ATI AIW card (especially the TV Tuner) working together with KX. When I start the TV, the sound of which goes through the Auxilary input of my SB Live card I hear the sound ot the TV but cannot control it through my TV Tuner software (ATI TV Tuner). The only way I can control it is by opening the KX Mixer and adjusting the Auxilary fader in it. Furthermore I don't get to record any sound (picture is ok) when recording a movie. The settings show there isn't any sound coming in at all? I looked in the DSP but didn't find the inputs for the AuxIn in order to connect them somehow, there is just The Input for Aux2 which dosn't work. Anyone has an idea? Thanks in advance |

In order to be able to do the custom routing, etc, that kX does, it does not use the Windows mixer in the usual manner, so you may not be able to adjust certain volumes using the controls in your software (which basically uses the Windows mixer to do it), so you will have to use kxmixer to do this, as you discovered.
As for recording (with the default DSP), you would want to unmute (and adjust the volume) of the appropriate slider on the recording page of kX mixer in order for that signal to be recorded. I am not sure which slider it would be, as I do not have an AuxIn on my card, but you should be able to figure it out. |

the AC97 slider in the recording page is the one you need to unmute and change the volume for recording with the AIW.
