Modifing Remote Control Functions.
Hi,
I would like to be able to change the controls of the buttons on the remote. To make keyshortcuts, but in biggest intresst, controling settings in the Kx DSP. Having it possible to adjust the volume of a insource troughout the remote control. I mean the remote thats included in Creative Audigy Plantium cards and followed. Regards Martin |

the remote control section of kX is not customisable as yet (not even complete afaik) but there are future plans to allow "addon" programs to customise parts of kX which may include the remote

You can do this right now, if you disable kX's RemoteIR and use Girder with the MIDI Sysex plugin. Takes a bit of fiddling, but works perfectly here.

Do you still have ability to control other than KX plugin's? - I'd assume so, but, you know what they about assuming.
I mean the Midi sysex part makes sense to add ability to send MIDI CC messages to KX Control and affect KX plugins - but not sure how girder allows things like start menu, does it rely on windowHandles (or window names, or what ever thats used to uniqely IDs a running app)? |

You can do pretty much anything you want. Run programs, send messages to windows, and it comes with a bundle of useful plugins as well, including one to
control the volume of audio devices, I assume it should work pretty well with kX's. Me, I use it to send bang commands to run scripts in my Litestep environment, which in some cases, passes commands back to kX. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it. |
