Hi - newbie here so ge gentle.
I wasn't happy with the output from my SB Audigy plugged into my Cambridge Audio amp and Gale speakers setup, mainly playing mp3's with Winamp. The left speaker seemed a little more bassy than the right. I felt I could add a bit more bass to the right speaker. I should add that the speakers sound fine playing CD's from a seperate CD player. I uninstalled the Creative drivers and went for the KX ones. After having a little play around with the DSP, can anyone tell me if I've done the right thing? I've inserted 2 new Timbre effect/plugins between the Surrounder+ and the 10 Band EQ. The front left output from Surrounder+ goes through 1 Timbre effect and the front right goes through the other Timbre before both going to the 10 band EQ. So basically I can control the timbre of each channel seperately? After tweaking the right channel timbre to add a little more bass, my speakers now seem to both sound the same when I swizzle the balance control back and forth. Overall, the sound seems much better now. ![]() Have I done the right thing in the DSP for the effect I was trying to achieve? ie. add a little more bass to my right speaker to level things out? Thanks Chris. |

Yes that's the right way. Alternatively if you only need to adjust one channel you can do without the timbre module on the other channel. This is where kX excels.
