Creative SB audity 2 SB0400 not working MIC

Greetings all.

apperently there is some problems with getting a Mic to work with the SB0400 card, and the KX drivers, a real shame if you as me!
Here is my battle for what I tried, to make it working (posted under another tread, as my original problem was to get the drivers installed)

There is some really good troubleshooting tips from Russ, that's worth readin.
in conclusion I have not been able to make my Mic work as of yet.
So if any of you have a clue, or actually knows how to get it to work, please tell me!

Go back to 3538H clear the DSP and use ProFX (look at the DSP forum to see where to get the Lemury ProFX, that installed with H won't do)).

Alternatively Creative has just, in the last week or so, released new drivers you could stay there for a while till this sorts out.

@John Lodge, is it that it only works with 3538h, or is it that it only works with the latest ProFx?

Russ,
The latest ProFx, which has regretably not been reworked/recompiled for 3538i or 3538j

Ok, that is what I figured, but wanted to be sure. I wonder what it does to do this (i.e. we should be able to do the same thing using kxctrl)?

Thanks for the info

There seems to be a lot of posts lately about SB0400 models, and the information about them is spread throughout the forum, making it hard to figure out what issues are still current, and what exactly needs to be done to get certain features working. It is too bad there is not some central thread about these issues that we could refer to for info (current issues and workarounds, etc).
