Sb400 no 10KX?

hey guys I read in a few places..that the Audigy 2 SB400 model has no 10KX chip?..I find that hard to believe as KX not supports it correct? so It must have a 10KX correct?

You are probably thinking of the SB0410, which I believe is the SB Live 24 Bit. The SB0400 is the A2 Value and uses one of the 10k2 chips.

SB0400 is partially supported, uses 10k2 and further support is in progress. Like mentioned above, itīs the A2 value card w/o gameport and w/o midi connector. I have the thing working fine with latest kx packages.

What do you mean by hardware number?
Do you mean the 10k2 chip? I think that it is CA0108-IAT or CA0108-ICT.

no just the number of the card...I am messing with a softmod..but the compatibility patch doesn't reconize my card...JUst messing around before I put KX back in..in the patch it'll give the model number SB400 then it give the hardware # I guess it's what the driver uses to tell if it compatible or not..

Not sure, maybe: VEN_1102&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_10011102&REV_00

kX lists it as:
%KX_EMU10KX.DeviceDesc100%=KX_EMU10KX, PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_10011102
KX_EMU10KX.DeviceDesc100="kX 10k2 Audio ("3538") - Model SB0400"
