How to bypass A2Zs DSP with Kx?
Hi,
I tried to disable via Kx 24/96 router. I assume I have to uncheck 10k2-->I2S Outputs but then I can't get any sound at all. Any idea? Thanks |

You would then use WAVE HQ device for playback - But you'll notice significantly lower volume levels at this time - so you'll need to boost the levels on your speakers/amp.
What are you playing and wishing to bypass the DSP? edit: For winamp - I use a resampling plugin - and direct output to Wave HQ device. I then lowered all final output feeding epilog in the KX DSP to avaoid hearing the 10KX output reguardless of the KX 24/96 router. In otherwords, theres really no NEED to change the 24/96 router - just mute the plugin feeding epilog. You'll hear the P16V -> I2S OR if using digital speakers, P16V -> S/PDIF. Note the 'PORT' selected for 24/96 output is as follows; 4/5 - Front L/R; 6/7 - Center/LFE; 8/9 - Rear L/R; Hph - Headphones; But these dont seem to affect anything for me - its always comming out the fronts (or rears when swapped) Ill add in winamps resampler is NEEDED to set it to 32 BIT/96Khz when using the 'DirectSound Out' Interface - but 24/96 works with the 'WaveOut' Interface. additioanl edit: It seems a bug may have been uncovered... When I UNCHECK the 10KX - > I2S connection - close and re-open 24/96 router, it shows P16V -> I2S as disconnected - then if I re-check the P16V -> I2S Connection, it mutes WAVE HQ output. can any one else confrim this? I'd like to avoid DSP just to get the best sound as possible when using 44Khz samples for midi/sampling software (Gigastudio, Kontact). By the other hand, I may have some plugins in DSP Kx station fully working even with epilog plugin disabled so DSP should be still active.
I'm already using a resampling utility for Winamp for music playback purposes. |
