Hello All,
i`m a newbee, and have a simple question (i hope). I installed the SBLIVE 5.1 Card into an Windows ME Computer with the KX Driver. It works well, but i have one Problem. On my DirectSound Devices i found the 1/2 device, with close to zero latency .And 3/4 5/6 7/8 or similar device as Emulated. The Emulated divices work, but they have large latency on my Dj Softzware (DJSystem Mk1) How can i get these outputs in "un emulated" state, as the main already is ? I tryed this also with a SBLive Value, with the same effects. On my Second Computer with Windows XP, there is no such problem. All Channels have no big latency, because they are not emulated. Does Anybody know how to change all channels to "not emulated" ? Thanks in Advance ao P.s: Emails about this are welcome ao-mail@gmx.de |

Thanks for the fast Reply.
Yes, my the Hardware acceleration is set to 100% and the Souround/Speaker mode is 5.1 I tried to set sourround to off/on/copy but no changes in that delay thing. It seems to me that Windows Me does the problem , but donīt know. Is it right, that channels are emulated ? 1/2 works very good All other are delayed and emulated (latency about 400ms after starting play) Installed cpu is a Pentium @ 900 Mhz. I think its fast enough, becuase on my WinXP Computer (with very low latency) it works good on an Athlon 700 Mhz (same KX-Driver settings). Most important for me is to use the front and rear outputs of the SBlive 5.1 for 2 Instances of the DJ Player (to get the same soundquality at each one). This Player works only good on Windows 9x/ME (tested before). If anyone knows about, please tell me. Thanks ao Last edited by ao31kx; Feb 24, 2006 at 01:06 PM. Reason: more exact description |

Solved the Problem by myself...
If anyone has the same Problem getting 2 stereo outouts on low Directsound latency on Windows ME: Just add a second Sblive, of the same model or close to. Same model gets the same sound... Both cards have now one (non emultaed) Stereo out. I use 2 sblive 5.1 now. 1.sb0100 2.sb0220 The kx driver couldn`t install the sb0220 on my computer. So i tried the sb0220 creative driver - and - both card work now with the creative driver. And what does that mean: Windows Me requires more Hardware than XP ;-) Last edited by ao31kx; Mar 4, 2006 at 01:07 AM. Reason: more information |
