seagate hardrive is this rubbish?

Is that harddrive loaded up? Usually, Windows really sucks with handling low harddrive space. If it's all filled up, try clearing some space. Also, try defrgamenting your drive.
If you've had the drive for a while and it just started doing this, it could be that your drive is potentially dying, so you may want to start backing stuff up if this is the case.

its got 9 gb free but the hardrive is only 20gb and i checked and think the hardrive came out just year 1999 so its old really

Wow you should really think about upgrading it then. Hard drives are pretty cheap now, so why not?

where in the uk can get one cheap with good service you think? last one had started clicking , so want to get a seagate again

If it's been in constant use since 1999, I wouldn't doubt that it's wearing out and it's life is coming to an end. I would definitely recommend an upgrade just like everyone else here has already said.

not usely savastore, i hate them the last hardrive got from them packed in after 6 months its started clicking and they would not replace it, dam them i hope they got bust.
