System Specs

While the results look certainly very pro-competition, I will have to agree with Z hand down on this one. The ability to do a true review requires building a PC from scratch yourself. Nobody can say for sure what's true and what's not in this controlled setup, and boy we have been PR'ed so many times by now that one would think we should have some sort of "BS Alarm" going off when you see something like that.

If Intel truly delivers a chip like this - I will be the first to take my hat off, since I first and foremost believe in healthy and fair competition. But the "controlled" factor and "fair" somehow sound mutually exclusive to me.

I guess time will tell, and I am waiting for DH Team to do a true in-house evaluation of this very promising new technology. And if it's as good as what Anandtech results show, and the price is right, who knows - I may be swinging Intel when the next build time comes.

We regularly receive performance estimations from companies before launches and i always skip past them because there is no way to validate them... results from testing on your own terms are the only ones that should be published by any reputable site.
Stu pretty much covered what I wanted to say. It's like ATI or nVidia giving us a box they setup that has a Geforce card, and ask us to benchmark it against another box of theirs that has a Radeon card. Would you trust the results?
