Pissed is this a ok spot to put a spare HD>?

well i got a new psu in my antec p180, and its too long, so i had to put the fan on the other side of the bottom part, which gives me only 1 space for a hardrive (the cords would interfere and wouldnt let the base go in because the fan is too far in)....
so i tried everything to add another hd to that spot but nothing worked n just got me more frustrated after putting it in, trying 34929 ways to fit the cords n stuff
so i found this little place (geuss where the floppy goes) to put it in, ( i used to shove all the extra cords in there )

theres no support for the hd, but its a tight space so it wont move around probably at all....
im just worried about heat... check it out
as u can see the spare hd is in a small part of the case, dunno if any air even gets in there, (the other cords are shoved in the side skirts (theres a little metal thing that seperates that little space, to the hd space)

this is the front of the case (shows the back of the hdd, in that little space)

sorry for the bad pics, i dont have a usb cord currently to plug my camera dock into ;-(

I'd say go for it, althought that's not a DH warranty, most it'll do is shorten the life span to maybe a few years instead of 5+

Most hard drives you can pull a temperature off them HD Tach maybe, put it in see what it runs at.

What happened to the other hard drive bay (shown below) that sits infront of the fan shown in the first picture (above where you say you put the drive)? That bay has space for 2 more hard drives.

Drakon will become famous soon enough

Donator
From the looks of it, I guess he took it out so the air from the fan could flow freely.

I'm with craig, automotive wire ties will help hold it in place...

Nice find on the pic Tipstaff!

I have the same case, so it sorta jumped out at me when I saw the bay missing in the pic.

yeah i tried putting the HD in that bay but i couldnt figure out how to tighten it, or keep it in place, i finally looked at the DH review, and thx to necrosis pointin it out, i flipped my PSU around, and did as best as i could to get the cords through (put the fan back in the original spot)
so now everything works well

i took out the 2nd hd bay because i rather have free airflow as pointed :]
